Dr. Jose Arambulo
Owner and Chief Veterinarian
Since I was little, I have always been surrounded by animals. Growing up in the Philippines, we had goats, pigs, chickens, cats, and dogs at my house. I was always the one tasked with taking care of them, and I enjoyed it. As I got older, I knew I wanted to go into medicine, but I couldn’t decide whether to study human or veterinary medicine. After much thought, I decided to follow my childhood passion for animals and pursue veterinary medicine.
Once Bloomfield Animal Hospital was under my ownership in 2001, I knew I wanted a practice filled with compassion, good communication, community outreach, and, most importantly, good veterinary medicine. I have always tried to educate and ensure that our patients maintain a high quality of life with their owners. These pets are family members and deserve nothing less. That is our job at Bloomfield: to ensure that every pet that walks through our doors lives the best, happiest, and healthiest life.
My team and I also participate in our city’s annual emergency preparedness fair. This is a very fun event that allows us to teach our community about what they need for their pets in case of an emergency. We have also held pet CPR and pet First Aid seminars here at Bloomfield, and we help our local seniors by partnering with Grandpaws Foundation. Grandpaws Foundation is a non-profit that helps low-income seniors receive pet food and veterinary grants.
When I am not with my patients, I am at home with my dog, Marsh, and enjoying family time with my wife and 3 sons. I enjoy exploring new countries, hiking, spending time with my extended family, and fine-tuning my barbecuing skills.
