Bloomfield Animal Hospital is proud to announce that we have partnered with the Pets of the Homeless. Pets of the Homeless is a national, nonprofit organization program that provides pet food to the homeless and to the less fortunate in local communities across the United States and Canada. With this partnership we have the ability to give pet food to our local community by partnering with the Lakewood Meals on Wheels Program.

This program is an ongoing national effort to regularly supply donated pet food through food banks to local people who cannot afford to properly provide for their pets. Over the course of a year, millions of people become homeless and as the economy worsens the numbers will increase. Most people have to choose between themselves and their pets.  The majority of them are choosing to give what little food they do have to their pets, we can alleviate this strain on them. It is estimated that one in four homeless and disadvantaged people have a pet.  Please join us in making a difference to these defenseless pets.

Due to our continued dedication to this cause we are donating to the Lakewood Meals on Wheels program between 50-60Lb of pet food every week.

We will be accepting dog and cat food donations throughout the year and any help in this great cause would be greatly appreciated by us, the Meal on Wheels Program but most importantly to the very pets that we are trying to help.
