Dr. Jose Arambulo

In January 2, 2001 Dr. Arambulo took over ownership of this practice. He received his B.S. in Medical Technology from the University of Santo Tomas in 1985.  He earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of the Philippines in 1991, and completed his clinical evaluation for veterinary medicine at Purdue University (Indiana) in 1997.  In January 2001, he became owner and chief veterinarian of Bloomfield Animal Hospital. Prior to his current practice, Dr. Arambulo worked as a veterinarian at Banfield, The Pet Hospital in Rancho Cucamonga, California from 1998 ? 2000.  Dr. Arambulo has a special interest in internal medicine, soft tissue and orthopedic surgery along with extensive experience in the treatment of skin, eye and ear ailments.  He is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Veterinary Information Network (VIN), and the Southern California Filipino Veterinary Medical Association (SCFVMA).  He is also a proud member of the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau of the Southland.  

 
Dr. Jeanne Rickey

Dr. Rickey has worked for Bloomfield Animal Hospital since 2006, filing in for Dr. Arambulo when he was on vacation or away from the office. She has over 20 years of experience in small animal medicine, including emergency medicine. She graduated from Washington State university in 1989 and worked in Seattle for 10 years before moving to Southern California. Since moving to our new facility in April 2011, the practice is now open on Thursdays. Dr. Rickey now works Thursday and additional days when needed. She enjoys medicine, but also is an excellent surgeon. She enjoys hiking and gardening when she is not working. Dr. Rickey has a Cairn Terrier named Terra and an orange tabby named Mr. Bunji.
